The Law Offices of Jessica Clarke, P.C. is a Massachusetts law firm focused exclusively on real estate titles, closings, fundings, and default services. Founded in 2013 and certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business, the firm has grown almost entirely through word-of-mouth referrals and is recognized as a top Massachusetts real estate firm.

We operate as a full-service closing agency, representing buyers, sellers, and lenders throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire — with in-house title examination, experienced attorneys located across New England, and closings available in Spanish. We're currently also servicing Georgia & Connecticut.

One of the first steps in any purchase or refinance. Our in-house examiners review public records to identify open liens, missing interests, and outstanding loans — with current technology, competitive rates, and quick turnaround.

Residential Real Estate Conveyancing

A full-service closing agency representing buyers, sellers, and lenders across MA, RI, and NH — with complimentary purchase & sale review, in-house title work, and the most competitive rates in the business.

Settlement Services

Regional closing and title services for a network of mortgage companies, national banks, brokers, and consumers — covering refinances, purchases, REO, and cash transactions, with closings available in Spanish.

Default Services

Representation for creditors in foreclosure and bankruptcy matters, including deeds-in-lieu, evictions, title research, title opinion letters, title curative work, and REO transactions.

Estate Planning

Wills, trusts, guardianship for dependents and pets, executor appointments, funeral planning, charitable gifting, durable power of attorney, healthcare proxies, and planning for LGBT couples.

Probate

Massachusetts probate law can be complex, especially while a family is grieving. We provide compassionate support and experienced legal guidance through settling an estate.

Business Formation

Simple, strategic, and stress-free help launching LLCs, incorporating, and choosing the right legal structure — from attorneys who have started and run businesses themselves.

Public Administrator

As Plymouth County's court-appointed Public Administrator under M.G.L. Chapter 194, Jessica locates and secures assets and administers estates in the best interest of heirs when no personal representative is known.

President & Founder

Jessica Clarke, Esq.

A native of Boston, Jessica holds a B.A. from UNC Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law. She managed the REO, Title, and Closing departments at a large Massachusetts firm before founding her own practice in 2013. She serves on the board of her local garden club and spends her summers on Cape Cod.

James A. Shanley, Esq.

Attorney

A Connecticut native with a B.A. in American Government & Politics from Clark University and a J.D. from New England Law. James came from a background in education before joining the firm in May 2024, bringing deep knowledge of real estate law and probate. He walks daily with his dogs and wife.

Kristin Slack, Esq.

Attorney & Funding Manager

With the firm since 2015, Kristin previously practiced Commercial Insolvency, Restructuring, and Litigation at a Boston boutique firm and served as a Legislative Aide in Washington, D.C. She holds a J.D. from Roger Williams University and is licensed in Massachusetts and Georgia. She enjoys badminton and time with her children.

A Chicago native with a B.A. in Music Business Management from Columbia College Chicago and a J.D. from New England Law | Boston. Josh has practiced in Massachusetts since 2019 and joined the firm in 2026, focusing on residential conveyancing, title examination, and HUD/HECM foreclosure matters. He lives in East Boston with his wife and dog.

A strategic business leader, attorney, and equity investor across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Scott formerly served as CEO of a public company that became the largest independent global provider of breast cancer identification systems, and as a Senate investigator for the Watergate Committee. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School, and an A.B. in Economics from Brown University.

A Title Examiner since 2020 with over 10 years of title and real estate law experience. A 20-year U.S. Army Reserves veteran (Master Sergeant, Civil Affairs) and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran from Columbus, OH.
